What was the company life like before having access to Donkey membership for you and your employees What pains were you experiencing? We often experience delays in public transportation and the traffic can be very unreliable. Being able to bike around the city makes come around much faster without relying on transportation issues and reach your deadline. This has been a great improvement for all of us. We can also feel a better engagement of our collaborators overall.
What made you choose our company membership?
Since we have many employees commuting, it was a really convenient way/service for them to transport from A to B in an easy and very flexible way. The adjusted offer and possibility to engage for a yearly plan also made the difference.
How has the membership plan made a difference in your employees’ lives and/or employer branding?
The flexibility of having the bikes around and the time you save has made a huge difference in the company and the employees. We have a more energized environment in our office with healthier and happier coworkers. Since you can find bikes in the whole city, our employees have an extra alternative to come to the office or go to meet a partner with no constraints.
What has surprised you most about the experience? What is your personal experience with riding a Donkey bike?
We have been impressed with how user-friendly the app and system in general are. It’s always easy to find bikes near you and you won’t have to worry about being late. The major advantage is the flexibility of leaving the bike wherever, whenever.

How did you start using your Donkey company membership and what were the reasons?
When my bike broke down earlier this year, I was too busy (and maybe a little too lazy) to get it fixed. That’s when I started using Donkey bikes through the partnership we have with Implement. The partnership has saved me the hassle of public transportation. I love how convenient the bikes are as you can usually find them and drop them off within a short walking distance of where you are or need to be, especially in the office.
With 472 km cycled and 20 kg of CO2 saved in 2023, Roman Acht has been an avid user of Donkey Republic’s company bike membership. It came at a good time, due to bike breakdowns and a busy schedule.
Being a consultant requires some business travel, both in Copenhagen and abroad. What benefits have you gained from using the bikes?
For me, always having a bike means that I gain a significant amount of flexibility in my daily transportation. Many of my workdays require a quick adjustment due to extra meetings, changes between offices or nordic weather conditions. That’s why I know there’s always a Donkey bike around the corner as my sustainable choice – even when I have clients in other countries.
What are the main benefits of riding a Donkey bike instead of your own as a consultant?
As I’m bad at getting my bike repaired, the Donkey is a stable solution that’s always ready to go. Cycling to and from work is a faster and more sustainable solution that helps me get to work fresh after a good dose of fresh air and exercise every day.
