Donkey Republic is continuing its expansion in the Netherlands partnering with Qbuzz to make the city of Dordrecht greener by bringing their orange bike share service to town.
Making it easier for you to get around
Donkey Republic’s orange bikes will make it a lot easier to get around the city and get faster to the bus or train station for example. Before the end of 2021 there will be approximately 75 spots in Dordrecht, Sliedrecht, Papendrecht, Zwijndrecht and Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht where you will be able to pick up or leave a bike. There will be no less than 230 bikes available in the region, making sure you always have a bike nearby. If successful, the city will expand, first to the remaining areas of Dordrecht and then further in the region.Download the Donkey Republic App

A green city with democratic access to healthy transportation
Making Bike-sharing available in Dordrecht benefits the citizens by making public transport more flexible. It also reduces emissions from cars, it improves public health by enabling active transportation and it helps to reduce congestion and fuel consumption as well as provide a financial saving for individuals. Public bike-share schemes like Donkey Republics’ makes it possible for citizens to use bicycles on an “as-needed basis” without adding the costs and responsibilities of owning a bike. This means that people that do not otherwise use bicycles can now enjoy the benefits of cycling, whether they are locals in the city getting to and from work, school and so on or tourists there to explore the city.“We are very excited to partner with Qbuzz to bring our bikes to Dordrecht and we look forward to collaborating on making the city greener with our orange bikes. We welcome the citizens of Dordrecht to the republic, making sustainable mobility available to everyone – one city at a time. Every ride counts!” – Erdem Ovacik, CEO at Donkey Republic
